Fall Season Recap:
A Stellar Start for Buffalo Valley eSports
This fall, Buffalo Valley's high school and middle school esports teams achieved remarkable success, fielding ten teams across eight competitions in four leagues. With thirty students participating, the season showcased our players' dedication and skill as they competed fiercely against schools from across the state.
The middle school made an impressive debut with our Fortnite Zone Wars team qualifying for playoffs. Though their run ended against Longfellow, their determination set a strong foundation for future seasons. Meanwhile, the high school The Finals team claimed the top spot in the Southeast division, earning a place at the OKSE State Tournament. Although GEARY ended their championship run, we couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishment.
This season was also a time for new challenges. The Finals, Overwatch (Middle School), Chess, and Valorant were all introduced to our program for the first time. Many players stepped out of their comfort zones to try these games, and the results were promising. As we look ahead to the spring season, we're excited to see new teams form and players settle into their roles.
A heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to the school staff and parents for their unwavering support through the ups and downs of scheduling. We especially appreciate the parents who joined us for the OKSE State Tournament, enduring a long day with our teams. Finally, we extend a special thanks to our generous sponsors, Hale Law Firm and The Sparkle Shop, for providing the stylish hoodies that our players proudly wore during the tournament.
The future is bright for Buffalo Valley Esports, and we can’t wait to see what the spring season brings!
